Why the cybersecurity company BREVIT relies on Wildix
BREVIT is a cybersecurity company dedicated to making the SME landscape in Switzerland more secure. They provide Swiss SMEs with access to IT security standards that were previously reserved for large corporations.
In times when cybercrime is becoming increasingly sophisticated and widespread, so that no longer only large corporations are targets, IT security becomes a concern for every company. Implementing solutions that are secure-by-design is therefore an important step to ensure the survival of a business.
In everything we do, cybersecurity is always at the center. We make no compromises here. That is also one reason why we use Wildix.

The Problem: The Threat Landscape for Swiss SMEs
BREVIT’s mission is to make the Swiss SME landscape more secure. Roger Hiestand, co‑founder and co‑CEO of BREVIT, emphasises that today every company — from craft businesses to law firms — can potentially be affected by cybersecurity issues: “Nowadays, everyone works with a PC, uses the internet, transfers files, or communicates via email systems.” Most attacks are automated and random. Companies are often not targeted because of their specific importance but simply because they are technically “hackable.”
For a security-focused company like BREVIT, cybersecurity is central to all internal processes. “In everything we do, cybersecurity is always at the center. We make no compromises here. That is also one reason why we use Wildix,” explains Marco Hiestand, co‑CEO of BREVIT.
The Solution: No Compromises Thanks to Secure‑by‑Design Approach
The decision to choose Wildix as the communication solution is primarily based on the fact that the system meets the requirements of a “secure-by-design” concept. After experiences with simpler solutions in the past that did not meet professional standards, switching to Wildix offers significant advantages according to Hiestand. Stability and security come first. Wildix’s solution fulfills all the security requirements of a specialised company. Furthermore, the range of functions is convincing: besides classic telephony features like voicemail, internal chat communication and collaboration tools are also supported via Wildix. For modern work, interoperability is crucial. A key factor is connectivity to the Microsoft 365 environment. For example, presence status is automatically synchronised during meetings to avoid disruptions.
From a technical perspective, BREVIT especially highlights Wildix’s architecture. Since it is primarily a web application, there is no need for locally installed software.
The Result: Security You Can Recommend
This “less is more” approach significantly reduces the attack surface on local devices. Nevertheless, the solution offers a user interface that matches a fully installed application and integrates seamlessly into the workflow. “The switch to a web-based approach was a very good step by Wildix. It allows us to use the application efficiently through a web browser while providing the look and feel of a fully installed desktop application,” describes Roger Hiestand.
Implementation and support are carried out in close collaboration with Plus41 AG. The direct exchange enables BREVIT to tailor the communication solution precisely to internal needs. Due to the positive experience, BREVIT now actively recommends the combination of Wildix and Plus41 to its own customers.
