Unlike standard CNAM caller ID, which is limited to 15 characters and relies on outdated databases, Wildix branded caller ID displays up to 32 characters, is always shown and is authenticated through carrier networks.
What is the difference between branded calling and branded messaging?
Branded calling puts your verified business name on the recipient’s screen before they decide to answer a call. Branded messaging does the same for written communications, delivering authenticated, interactive messages across RCS and WhatsApp with your brand name clearly displayed. SMS is also supported as a reliable unbranded fallback, ensuring delivery when RCS is not available, but without any brand display. What is RCS (Rich Communication Services)?
RCS, also sometimes referred to as RBM (rich business messaging), is a modern messaging standard that replaces traditional SMS with a richer, more interactive experience. Unlike SMS, RCS supports high-resolution images, videos, interactive buttons, carousels, read receipts and two-way conversations. Crucially for businesses, RCS allows messages to be sent from a verified brand identity rather than a phone number, so customers can see exactly who is contacting them. Apple added RCS support in iOS 18, meaning it now works across both iPhone and Android devices.
What is two-way SMS?
Two-way SMS allows businesses and customers to send and receive messages in both directions, enabling real conversations rather than one-way broadcasts. However, SMS is limited to basic text delivery with no branding, no verified sender identity and no rich media. If you want branded, verified messaging, that is what RCS is for.
