What is pickup service

Pick up service is the ability to get an incoming call from another telephone when this is ringing.

This is useful when you want to answer to your collegue telephone without running to his telephone.

call group pick up group

Wildix PBX systems offer the opportunity to set a call group and a pickup group in phones menu. We will explain the logic with an example

Phone 200 belongs to call group =1 Phone 200 has no pickup group

Phone 201 has pickup group =1 Phone 201 belongs to call group=2

Phone 202 has pickup group = 1,2 Phone 202 has no call group set

As consequence:

  1. Phone 201 can cacth incoming call from 200 during ringing state.
  2. Phone 200 cant cacth incoming calls from any other telephone (no pickup group set)
  3. Phone 202 can cacth both incoming call from 200 and 201 during ringing state.
  4. nobody can catch calls from 202

In general if your phone has pickup group=1 you can catch all incoming calls for all phones which belong to call group=1
